PV Power Generation

GCL implements a development strategy that places equal emphasis on the operation of centralized photovoltaic (PV) power stations and distributed PV power stations, providing comprehensive smart operational services for PV power stations. GCL Smart Operation & Maintenance (O&M) has become the first "5A" certified O&M service provider in the country. By the end of 2022, GCL has accumulated the operation of over 320 PV power stations, with a total installed capacity of nearly 10 GW. Notably, more than 89% of these power stations are located in areas with robust power consumption capabilities.

Biomass Power Generation/Waste Power Generation

GCL's biomass power generation endeavors make full use of agricultural and forestry waste, achieving comprehensive resource utilization. These projects are primarily located in economically developed areas such as Shanghai, Jiangsu, Henan, as well as regions abundant in agricultural resources.

Gas-steam Combined Cycle Power Generation

GCL is one of China's prominent private gas and thermal power operators, boasting nearly 20 national and provincial-level industrial heating networks in development zones. The heating coverage extends over 2,000 square kilometers, serving industrial users with a total industrial output value exceeding 500 billion yuan.

Pumped-storage Power Generation

The Jiande Pumped Storage Power Station, developed by GCL, has a total investment of 14 billion yuan. The project aims to construct four 600 MW reversible hydroelectric generating units, resulting in a total installed capacity of 2,400 MW. This ambitious undertaking stands as the largest planned pumped storage power station within the East China Power Grid. Its primary responsibilities include peak-load regulation, valley-filling, energy storage, frequency modulation, phase modulation, and emergency backup for the East China Power Grid.

Energy Trade

Since 2015, GCL has strategically expanded its portfolio to encompass electricity sales, carbon assets, green energy, and CCER (Carbon Emission Reduction) projects. With a presence in various provinces throughout the country, GCL holds 20 energy trading licenses and serves over 4,000 clients. It also manages close to 30 controlled emission enterprises and oversees a carbon quota exceeding 30 million tons. Additionally, GCL manages nearly 60 emission reduction enterprises and has successfully developed CCER projects with an emission reduction surpassing one million tons. Over time, the company has facilitated the trading of over 100 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green electricity and green certificates. By leveraging green energy and the procurement of green certificates, GCL's solutions can meet 90% of customers' electricity needs.

Energy Services

GCL offers high-quality energy transmission, distribution, and operation services to its users. Leveraging the Microgrid Centralized Control Cloud Platform, it creates an integrated operation and maintenance system that combines offline and online components. This enables comprehensive lifecycle management of users' energy consumption. GCL has successfully won bids and implemented various pilot projects related to incremental distribution reform under national initiatives.
